AOS Replacement Question
 

I'll be replacing my AOS this weekend. Classic symptoms - codes P1128 & P1130, crop duster like smoke screen, and a god bit of oil in the vent tube.

My question is this - After replacing the AOS and cleaning the TB, I was planning on running the engine to burn off any remaining oil and then replace the spark plugs.

I read a post on RennTech that recommended pulling the plugs after AOS replacement, cranking the engine to remove any oil that may be in the cylinders. and then install the new plugs.

What would be the best course of action for replacing the plugs?

I just did my AOS a few weeks ago, I caught mine early before lots of oil smoke but the TB & tubes were pretty oily. Cleaning your plugs can't hurt but make sure to get as much of the oil residue out of the intakes as you can using lint free rags. Then add a can of Techron to the fuel & go for a nice long ride to get the remaining residue out & get the cats nice & hot.
