Removed my front bumper today.
I have had my 03 S for about 2 months now and after reading all the great posts and DIY stuff on the forum, I decided I would take off my front bumper and clean the radiators and condensers. I did not expect to find much as my car only has 23 thousand miles on it. Boy was I wrong.

Thanks to all who have posted about this, without this forum I would have never thought to do this and I am sure I would have had cooling problems this coming summer. |
Just did it myself and you are right, unbelievable how much stuff it eats on the highway.

I just did mine last week. Coming up on 2 years since last done. Mine wasn't too bad. A few June bugs in there, couple of cigarette butts and a black and mild cigar tip. Other than that mine look pretty good. I had some leaves in the plastic cover that goes over the radiators also. How often do they recommend cleaning the radiators? Glad I got it done. Another winter project complete.

I did my garage queen at 19,000 miles and there was more debris than I expected.

That's really surprising! Good to know, thanks.

When I got mine a couple years ago it had 51k miles on it. It was garaged for long periods of time and had several cycles of decomposing...made for some good potting soil, just had to remove the cigarettes and Styrofoam packaging pieces.
