Fun topic!

I've owned more than 20 cars in my three decades, and my top three:
987s
955
923

The worst was a '97 Mitsubishi Eclipse FWD Turbo that a kid racer owned before me. That thing had so many problems from the cheap DIY motor mods I got rid of it a few weeks, a new turbo and a new head later. That was a money suck. :(

Nice to see another car chick on the forum!

Best (do trucks count?): 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty diesel :) (211000 miles and going strong).
Worst: 1998 Audi A4 Quattro . Nothing but problems.

Best of course is the Boxster, most fun I ever had in a car rolled into one package. But most vehicles I have owned throughout my life have been responsible for great memories, even the
'73 CJ5 that spun a bearing on me.

Worst was a '03 Dodge Durango, which lost the oil pump on the way to Vegas in Tehachapi. On my first day of R&R from a deployment to the "sandbox". The only vehicle I ever owned that ruined an entire brand for me.

(funny side note, years later I was telling the story of the Durango to a coworker...next day hers spontaneously combusted in a Target parkinig lot. This was further known as the Yuba City Car-B-Q)

Best sports car: is my Lotus Elise (sorry Guys) my Box is #2

Best all around: is my 1997 Jeep wrangler what a best of a vehicle

Worst car: 1980 Cadillac Eldorado P.O.S I also had a Cadillac Caterra that would be the worst if I did not have an extended warranty on it.:)

Speaking of spontaneous combustion, we tried to trade in our 1998 Audi A4 Quattro (the one I hated) for a 2005 model. The dealer delivered the 2005 Audi from 90 miles away, and 10 minutes after he dropped it off, the motor (turned off) burst into flames while sitting parked in front of our house. We got the 1998 back (quickly), and eventually traded it in for a 2005 BMW 325 XI, which we like a lot.

Best car I ever owned: 1976 911S Targa. It was the first car I bought with my own money and changed my life. It was a great autocrosser and a pretty good daily driver. I stupidly sold it and I regret it.

Worst car: 1976 Mercedes w123 diesel. Seemed like a good idea, everything I read told me that it was the most reliable car ever... not the one I got. It broke all the time and left me stranded. I hated that car.

Best new car is a tie between 3 brand new cars- 1976 Alfa Romeo Alfetta Sedan(I got a good one), 2004 MINI Cooper S and 2005 Mustang GT All were rock solid with attention to maintenance.Best Used, is my current 97 JEEP Wrangler and my incredible 2000 Box S with 6 speed!

Best - 2003 Honda S2000 revved liked a banshee!
Worst - 1963 Rambler Classic 550 would not run in the rain, major piece of crap

coreseller 01-15-2013 04:59 PM

Best - 1996 Chevy Impala SS, the first car I ordered new, the last of the full frame rear wheel drive yachts. I put 200k trouble free miles on it, friend bought it put another 200k on it before it finally fell apart.

Worst - 1974 Ford Maverick, total POS, was my first car and loved it due to that fact alone.....freedom.
