I just replaced a $90 Pep Boys Bosch battery in my 2002 Saab-it lasted less than three years. This time I purchased an Excide with 40 month full replacement/108 month prorate at a cost of $150. I think you get what you pay for in batteries these days. I hope this is helpful.

I get the one from sears for about $130 and it comes with a three year warranty. I used a gel battery for a while, but I think it caused my alternator to fail so just went the cheap route.

I like my $180 Odessey PC925 liteweight & alloy mount, but it's lite duty here in SoCA daily driving. You would probably want to step up a size or 2 which makes the Optima's alot cheaper.
