Glass window for 986 top
More than likely the top manufacturer is GAHH in California. Very reputable company. They use the original "Sonnenland" A5 topping material made by Haartz GmbH (formerly Rode and Schwalenberg) in Germany. Try www.gahh.com and you can probably find a local distributor in your area that distributes their tops. As far as I know, they are the only top manufacturer currently making a '97-'02 replacement top with a glass rear window. More manufacturers will surely follow but may not use the original equipment material.

I can't vouch for the top itself but the Ebay seller is good. Just bought some instrument cluster trim rings from him and he was a very fast shipper.

You'd think the seller would have put a closer-up photo of the top on there. I've always thought the glass window looked... dwarfed. It is just me or does it seem way too small?

We have asked these folks to advertise here, as we think the product would be very appealing to a forum with all BOXSTER owners.
Perhaps a few of you could suggest that scheme to them when you inquire. We would appreciate it. Thanks  |
check around
I read some post that the glass is slipping so they went back to plastic. less headache!!

FYI: A new Porsche top for these year cars is ~$2300 .
