AKnowles Registered User Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Southern, CA Posts: 460	Transmission Gear Whine: Not anymore When I bought my used boxster I thought it had a rather pronounced gear whine from the transmission. However, once I replaced the PO installed Sony radio and dropped a noise filter in the mix I found the gear whine had gone away. So, I guess my radio install was free since it saved me a $1000.00 or so in a planned attempt to track down the whine and fix it! __________________ 1999 Boxster Zenith Blue Metallic/Savanna Beige
