Scored cheap rebuilt lower control arms... $26!

Another forum member gave me a heads up on a killer deal. The listing doesn't say rebuilt, but mine are so know that about this part for sale...

FCP Premium Auto Parts has lower control arms (99634105307) on sale for $26.11. Now they're $33, but that's still a very good deal...

Mine wear out in the front every 2 years for some reason, so this is a cheap fix!

your factory CA's wear out every two years? Or is that aftermarket?

RandallNeighbour 12-28-2012 10:50 AM

Travis, yes, I'll teach YOU how to do it in my garage:)

Perfectlap, yes, factory. No clue as to why with my low mileage per year. I think it might have to do with the fact the car was wrecked before I bought it and probably doesn't have a totally straight subframe.

Looks like an incredible deal, and at that price I would expect they would have to be rebuilds, but I didn't see anything on the linked page to indicate rebuilds. Have you guys bought from them before? Credible?

So how do you get them torqued to 88 ft lbs?

WhipE350 12-28-2012 03:52 PM

I don't think they are rebuilds, just cheap imports (and not Germany imports). Let me know the quality if you get them.

RandallNeighbour 12-28-2012 05:33 PM

I got them in today. Quality looks good.

Hey Randall,
How did you find the fit on these?
I'm also interested in knowing how you got the mounting bolts torqued as I find it almost impossible to get my torque wrench in the tight area the nut & bolt head are at.

Brian, I've yet to put them on the car. By the way, my mechanic doesn't torque them down to X footpounds... he just uses his standard wrenches and tightens them as tight as possible.

They look identical to new ones. They're remanufactured, so the fit should be the same.
