Wheel Fitment

Need help confirming that the following 2005 987 17" wheels will fit my 97 base. It currently has stock 16" rims (6x16 ET50, 7x16, ET40).

Proposed rims are 5 V spoke wheels:
6.5x17, ET55
8x17, ET40

Many thanks for all the help!!

The quick answer is yes. However, it's doubtful that it will given you a much more aggressive look if that's what you're looking for.

Thanks so much for the confirmation. That is very informative. I am just looking for a different wheel look (5 spoke V?) vs a lowered wider stance for now.
