Has anyone tried this short shifter that is being advertised on the front page?
Has anyone tried installing it themselves?
Does it make a big difference? Is it any good?

I just installed one. It's GREAT, and easy to install. Worth every penny, and a lot cheaper than the B & M. Shortens the throws significantly. Do a search, you'll find a thread on it.

I also in stalled this kit....it comes with a great instruction manual and makes a huge difference in shifting....I highly recommend this kit to any one who wants to make a big difference for a small amount of money...

Is it easy to install?Could a novice do it himself?

I was apprehensive because I didn't want to mess up my car. But, I read the instructions before starting the project, read some tips and tricks posted by people on this site, and dove right in on it. VERY EASY to do! Just make sure you have a set of snap ring pliers. They're about 5-10 dollars and will make the job easier. It only took me about 1.5 hours to do and I was going really slow and taking my time. Best mod so far.
