I'm digging the bottom AMC with wood, looks mean as hell, seriously.

Search is over JD, I found it:

With all of this talk about a looming fiscal cliff, I decided to scrap the idea of getting a new daily driver and buy someone second hand. Besides, the color is right !

I see a little silhouette-o of a man
Scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning -- very, very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Figaro -- magnifico!

OK Since old skool is now allowed, I vote our old dealer work truck three on the tree kids. Stock photo, rusted so bad it made the fiats look like they were made from Aluminum!

Will it accept 13" rears?

WRX hatch. Faster, more space, all wheel drive, and cheaper. When i say cheaper you can see why when you step inside one. There are really no luxuries in there. It looks great but the interior is the only part of the car that is to simple. With that said Check them out they are incredible cars. Plus who doesn't like a turbo every now and then.

Yup, just get an Impreza and be done with it. You will have at least 200,000 miles that you won't have to worry about getting another daily driver. You'll be amazed at how the car needs almost nothing but normal maintenance, carries more than you ever expected it could, and can get you through pretty much any weather you encounter. It doesn't drop in price because everyone wants one. The best part is the thing is pretty damn fun! I've got mine dialed in to slightly oversteer, in fact.

Yes, my thought is that it's less good in every way than a WRX.

Throw me a bone, I don't a WRX !

That is a no to the clubman, It seems your sold on the idea of the mini so i suggest the countryman over the clubman. I feel that the clubman looks like a delivery van. The countryman in the color scheme you chose looks great and probably performs better then the clubman. So if your friend is giving you a good deal on it go for it.

I tend you agree with you on the clubman. I can't quite resolve the look of it either. There's something kinda "crypt buggy" about it ?

grubinski 12-04-2012 07:03 PM

I'd take a WRX over a Mini any day as a daily driver. The WRX is a real car. The Mini is a fashion statement.

Johnny Danger 12-04-2012 07:24 PM

How about a VW Jetta Spotrwagen (notice how I spelled wagen correctly ) TDI then ?

Skrapmot 12-04-2012 08:41 PM

I'd get the Clubman S. I like the larger loading of the extra passenger side door.
Suburu are nice, but every time I point out one to a friend (that are girls) they always seem to mention that its a car for lesbians. :o
I'd look at a used Infinti G35 or G37. BMW performance with Japanese reliablilty.

And what do they say about your Boxster?

Not that I care, nor does it effect what I buy, but I've never seen a woman driving a WRX.

Bmod986 12-04-2012 09:43 PM

Lesbiens drive subis, that is the first time i have ever heard that. But that has absolutely no relevance. any girl driving a wrx must have something good with them. Ok back to topic. In all seriousness the clubman is too dull no offense to any clubman owners. It does have a lot more space then the countryman in terms of its trunk and it shares the same front look as the other minis.

Let me put this in the way i see it. Danger is looking for something spaces, stylish, not too sharp, and good on gas. He already has a knife in the garage aka the danger mobile, so why buy another knife. Cant have a meal with just a bunch of knifes. So that rules out the WRX. You dont want a spoon cuz its only got one use scoping aka the clubman. So that leaves you with the Countryman a fork. Sharp when it needs to be but you can scoop stuff up with it too. I hope this was a good analogy.
