Los Angeles Mechanic
Can someone share where they get their oil changed and other general maintenance items in LA? I've got oil and brake pads and am just looking for a nice, honest guy who will charge me labor to get this stuff done. I don't think a Porsche expert is required in these things. I would gladly do the oil change myself but I can't seem to figure out how best to drain 9 quarts of oil and then transport it to a gas station.
I'm actually in the West LA / Santa Monica area specifically. There must be SOMEONE out there who's willing to do this stuff at a fair price! Otherwise, I'll probably have to just get my oil changed at the $120 guy. *sigh* I've called a couple of places but they seem to look down on the fact that I get my own parts - making comments such as, "if you go to a restaurant, do you bring your own meat?" Thanks. |
I am looking for LA Mechanic too. I am living East side of LA county. Would you let me know if you found one? I need 30K service. Thanks.

I have 90% of my services done at the dealer. But on occasion I do have a Porsche Specialist who has worked on Porsches for the last 15years work on my car. He is in Burbank, CA. The shop is called PS Racing (818) 840-0911....Only does Porsche nothing else. He has a few mechanics but I usually have the owner (Doug) do the work as he is most experienced. Give him a call. He is reasonably priced and can work with you.
