Raby on the Samba!

For those of you that have roots into Dr. Porsche's original design for the peoples car, Jake Raby put out a great post on The Samba about "what Jake can do for you" when it comes to your air cooled VW appetite.

Thats our original air-cooled division.. Don't become confused with our M96 side of the house, they don't even share the same work areas, or employees. We support Porsche from 1950-2013 with the only exception being the 924/944/968 models, which have the engine in the wrong place.

We built this business from aircooled Porsche and performance aircooled VW engine work. As a matter of fact building old VW and Porsche engines provided all the funds for our development of the M96 engine. Now as we move on into the DFI/ 9a1 engines and Cayenne engines the M96 stuff is paying for that.

Its true engine evolution.

That's cool to know Jake. I have an air cooled heart, always have always will:dance:. My '66 bug keeps me young and the Boxster lets me stretch my legs when I need to de-stress from work.

Drove my '88 Carrera to the shop today, will drive my '68 Double Cab tomorrow equipped with a 220HP, 2.8 liter Raby Engine, EFI and a 915 Porsche 5 speed tranny.. I am more of an enthusiast with the older cars than modern ones and drive them everyday. I sold all of my modern Porsches a while back :-)

I'd love to see pics of your D-Cab Jake. 220hp w/5 speed? Sweet!
