It makes no difference how many owners a car has had. The truely important thing is how much care the LAST owner put into it. |
I am so enamored with my 2001 Boxster S that I can't imagine ever being without one.
However, one owned by 6 previous owners is a strong indication that they did not have that same feeling about this particular one. Why? Maintenance costs are too much, it doesn't feel right, or there are just too many annoying issues? Logic dictates you should stay away from that one as chances are good that you will also grow tired of it soon and sell it.(But not before you have emptied your wallet on it) Emotion is causing you to ask for 2nd opinions in opposition to what your logic already suspects. Don't buy a 6 owner car when there are plenty of cars to choose from that have few miles and just a few owners that thought the car was great, but it was time to move up or move on. Sure there is a very small possibility of it being fine, but a lottery ticket will give you the same odds and if you win, then go out and buy the latest Boxster instead and be the 1st happy owner guaranteed. Good job on making a SMART and LOGICAL choice by buying the 1 owner car, you will not regret that choice. |
