Hey if anyone is looking for a new 987 or 987S in the midwest, I think Stoddard (440-951-1040) near Cleveland, Ohio aggressively lists a few on their web-site (through Porsche's wed-site, link through "locate dealer"). They are taking about $6K off 2005's and have an optioned-out 2006 ($75K) they are willing to take off $8.5K just over the phone.

I agree, it looks like the 2005 987 Boxster fire-sale has begun...Out here, Pioneer is offering 10,000 off 4 boxsters with varying trim, and I would imagine similar savings can be had on others:
