Carrera lights-aftermarket!

I found these aftermarket Carrera lights on Ebay...

Anyone bought them or have any opinions they'd like to share? I can't afford the real thing and the ROH rims I have now suck (one of the fronts is a little bent and makes the wheel wobble).

These come in painted silver and chromed finish. I am tempted to buy the chromed ones, which will look good on my black boxster.

I also need to know the exact offset required for 18's on my 97... anyone know?

Wow, that looks tempting. Have you called to inquire on the specs for those wheels? Eg...weight, warranty, etc. I would seriously consider these when the tires needs to be replaced. Keep us updated on your decision.

as far as I know 10" in the rear will require spacers. Call up wheelenhancement.com and ask how wide you can go without wheel spacers.
I got my BOxster fit Carreras for $1900 delivered from ernie's alloys in Miami.
He said that was near cost and I haven't seen them for lower than that price.

Ernie quoted me $2895 plus $100 for s/h for Carrera lights to fit a boxster today. He quoted hand-painted center caps for $175 if I bought the wheels and tires.

This price included good tires (Pirelli or Bridgestones I think) as well. I am torn between factory wheels and these aftermarket ones. They probably look identical. The weight may be the only difference.

Oh BTW, the Ebay aftermarket wheels in my previous post above weigh in at 24 and 25 pounds front and back, respectively. At least that's what I think I remember him emailing me (I'm not on my laptop so I don't know for sure).

Anyone know the weight of the factory wheels?

... and I just installed my clear side markers and they're sweet! Took a whole five minutes to pop them out and the new ones in.

Porsche Carreras are 20 pounds F and 21 rear.
I would go with factory. You can resell them much easier than the aftermarket.
Just put your old wheels back on when you sell the car.
You can probably do better in terms of tire price. I'd get just the wheels from
him and check bobwoodman tires or tirerack.
Painted Centercaps are way overpriced. A good DIY project.
