Tire install, balance etc, who is good?
 

I have my 4 new Hankook V12 tires, that I got online from discount tires, to install on my Boxster.

There is a Firestone, Big-O tires, and Express Tires shops near by.

Who would be best to install and balance the new tires on a Boxster?

Who would you use/trust, one of the above or another shop?

Is there anything special I should ask for?

The car tracks perfectly and tire wear is normal on the old Pilot Sports so I don't think I should let them adjust
the alignment.

Whoever u choose I would definitely take pics of the rims before the install in case they damage them putting the tires on. Also I may get the Hankook v12s or the Michelin Pilots between now and next spring so will be faced with the same issue of who is a good installer.

Make sure the shop has a Hunter GSP9700 Road Force balancer. The website below has a handy locator link.

Great info l3M, my local Big-O has a Hunter 9700 road-force balancer.

I'll snap some rim before pics just in case they are ham handed with the Rim/Car.

I got 4 Hankook v12's for ~$485 delivered within 3 days from Discount Tire online.

2 - 255/40-17
2 - 215/50-17 upsized from the standard 205 width.

Replacing the old Pilot Sports.

Seems like the most bang for the buck right now and the tires should last reasonably long for a performance tire.

I think I can fit 2 tires in the passenger seat, one rear in the frunk and one front in the trunk of the Boxster. Other wise I'll have to drop them off at the shop with the Wrangler first and then come back with the Boxster.

I have used America's Tire on Magnolia at Tyler. Fast, quality work, respectful, and reasonably priced.

Edit: No way you are getting 4 tires in the Boxster unless you put the top down and stack em behind your head.

I just checked who has this Hunter and low and behold, 2 High Schools have them....! I want to be a kid again!! :)

Yes, you can bring 4 tires in your Boxster to the Tire shop.

A 255/40-17 in the frunk with the spare removed,
A 215/50-17 in the trunk with a bungee to hold the lid in place
and a 215 & 255 in the passenger seat.

I thought I might have to use another car or make 2 trips.
