Mobil 1 $5.89/Qt

Just got an email from NAPA, saying that they're doing a promo for all weights of Mobil 1 for 5.89/qt. My local store normally sells the stuff for $8-9, so this is a good deal if you can get it.

Also, in the course of cruising craigslist for parts, I came across this 2003 Box S being parted. Seems like it could be very helpful for someone. They're selling the lower mile motor for $6400 no core, with warranty.

nice! That's a better deal... Did they stock the Boxster filter? I always have to order mine.

if you're going with mobil 1 (no judgements ) check out wal-mart. they consistantly keep the 5 qt jug around $23-$26. though not including the filter specials you can find elsewhere.

I have been using High Mileage Mobil 1 oil the last few oil & filter changes. I get mine in two 5-quart jugs from Walmart.

I want to switch to Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil, but they don't sell it in the 10W-40 viscosity that I need.

My next oil & filter change is coming up and since I live in Central Texas, I am going to use Royal Purple 20W-50.

I've been buying it either from Wallyword or on sale since I've had the boxster. Save ALOT of dough!

it's tough for me, as I have neither advance auto nor walmart nearby.... I am currently running Royal Purple 10-40, but it's real pricey...

I called them to inquire about whether the top and frame were available. The person who answered the phone couldn't find them in her list of parts. She told me the car had rolled. If that's the case, the top was likely destroyed if it was up. I hope everyone in the car was OK.

On the bright side, she said the roll bars were in good shape. Nice to know that they performed as intended.
