10,000 Miles

Purchased my 2002 S fifty eight days ago with 9700 Miles and today turned over another digit. It has been a blast and a decision I'm glad I made. I appreciate all the members of this forum and the wealth of knowledge dispersed here. Happy Boxstering! Here's to many more digits on the odometer with the top down.

Yeah, good question ? I thought that my vehicle's mileage was low with only 19K !

A PCA member has a 98 Boxster with 16k for sale in my home town...and he has had it for 8 years and put 10K of those miles on it. It happens more then you think!

I hope the OP continues to enjoy his car, and the best of luck to him, but personally I wouldn't buy a car of that age with that little mileage.

The previous owner maybe had two other Porsches in his garage and never took the time to find out how nice the Boxster is

My brother has a 2003 S that has less than 15,000 on it. He bought a Harley a couple years back and rides that more. I, on the other hand, have a 2000 Base that has 105K on it.

I had the same concerns but after the Porsche dealer did a PPI they determined it was as if it just came out of the factory. The tires were still new looking but they put new Michelins on it anyway and threw in a 36 month power train warranty to boot, plus changed all the fluids. The previous owner had service records for each year but he rarely drove the gem. It really is in perfect condition and I feel pretty lucky to have found it when I did. I had been looking for over a year and passed on a few that seemed like nice cars, glad I did. There just is nothing like a Porsche, but the boxster stands alone IMO as the most fun car to take on a winding mountain pass here in Utah.
