Over my head-help with jack stands

I have taken on the job of window regulator successfully. I am now trying wheel refinishing. Thought it would be nice to put wheel up in the air using jack stand to all turning wheel while sanding and buffing, since I was unable to break one lug bolt loose. I have the rear jack position on a jack stand. Front wheel is also off ground. I tried putting the second jack stand on the opposite side by jacking the front jack point up until I can get the jack stand under the rear jack point. I cannot get the car high enough. The car "levels out" and I and a half inch too low. Am I hurting the car having it up on only one jack stand?

One jackstand is fine as long as it's under the proper point on the body. As for the lug you can't break loose I'd work on that, what happens if your miles away with a flat? That isn't going to be the time to deal with it, besides, refinishing wheels is a lot easier with them off.

I agree with Ghostrider. Get that nut off.
