Frunk courtesy lamp switch

I finally got around to replacing the courtesy light in my front trunk. The plastic housing had disintegrated.

Works great, but I am afraid it will wear down my battery if I can't locate the actuator (switch) and test it... And I can't find it!

My car is a 1997. Ideas?

If you have access to two iphones do face time call and put one in frunck and close it you should see the light go off.

You could also remove one of the headlights and peek in.

Or if you just have one, take a video... :-)

Took both bulbs out (f & b) so not to worry about bulb heat and switch failure= dead battery.

2003S, I did just what you recommended... shot a video and the light does go out.

Nice!
