Ok cool. I'm having my AOS, o2 sensor, and motor mounts done this week so I'll have the throttle body cleaned as well. Thanks!

Nothing to do with humidity. :) |

I haven't had any issues with cold starts on hot days, but when I run it to the store and come back out, the restart is like you described. I haven't given it much thought as it always seems to catch "at the last second" and has never failed me. Knock on wood. I'm not really smart enough to know what causes these issues. It's probably along the lines of what thstone said. I think I saw in a thread here a way to clean the MAF, but you'd have to search for the thread. Seems like that might be the first thing I'd look at as it might be the easiest and is more than likely the culprit from what I've heard. |
Hey all...
I live in FL where this time of year is in the upper 90's. I own a 2.7 2001. I too have been experiencing the high pitch whine, both at start up first thing and if I'm out and the car has sat for most of the day. I keep reading the posts, but it seems there's not quite a definitive answer that I'm seeing. So, is this normal? |
