Boxster yaws to one side when shifting

i have an 02 986 and have a weird situation. When accelerating hard after I depress the clutch to shift, the car yaws a little to one side. When down shifting, like from 5th, to 4th, to 3rd to keep the revs up it does the same thing. Anybody heard of anything like this?

Thanks

Never heard of this but my first thought is to check the engine mount. If its never been replaced, then the engine could be moving slightly when revving and this might be sensed as some movement in the car.

In every instance when I have experienced this (my 1980 TR8 and on my '05 Jeep Wrangler), it was the rear control arm bushings worn out allowing the rear axle to move around that caused it. In both cases when you accelerated the car pulled to one side and when you lifted it pulled the other way. This is where I'd start looking.

Interesting. I thought maybe it was just me. I have run into that problem sometimes when shifting hard (haven't noticed it on deceleration), but it almost feels like one tire is breaking loose for a moment, right?

May have to look into this this weekend.
