Are there any Boxster Repair Manuals
I am looking for a Boxster Do-it yourself Repair manual like Hayes or chilton. Has anyone found a repair manual fro the Boxster?
Thanks |
Occasionally there is a guy on e-bay selling what are probably illegal copies of a 97-02 boxster shop manual on CD. Its not detailed though and somewhat "shop technical". No "how to" type stuff like Chilton and Haynes. Other than that I have never seen anything. Sooooo...visit and bookmark every Porsche and Boxster site you can find on google and that should be more than enough information for the basic DIY projects you will encounter! Good luck!

do you have any links or do you know how to get ot the back of the stereo. I know how to get it out but I want to hook up enclosed subwoofer and I want to put the wires coming from under the dash to the back of the cd player. How does the plastic on the sides of the center piece closets to the stereo come off. Iprobably can take those off some how and put the wires through there coming up behind the CD player. Then I can put the sides back hiding the wires. thanks |
If you have seen the shop manuals they are not much help for a DIYer.
There is some service guide that is supposed to be out, but I do not think it will be anything like a shop manual. Bentley has been hinting for years that they might do a shop manual. In fact my mechanic friend was asked to help but he did not have time. I think this is for real since recently he has been sent some chapters. |
If found this manual online. it is from over sea's. are the cars made differently over there besides the everything reversed?

Repair manual
I'm useing the Alldata.com manuals. Have not realy used it much at all other than to take a look around. It's not the best but is some help and cost only $24 for the year. You can print what you want off it also.
I used it to tell me what service I should do at 90,000 miles. Richard |
