it finally happened

i'm now officially a member of the "100K Mile Club"! i have to admit it was kind of exciting. though i was on a regular road so i couldn't get up to 100 at the time.

2001 Base/TIP

prior to my ownership it had:
* new shift cable
* new headlight assembly
* new MAF
* RMS

since buying the car in '09 (@65k miles) i've done:
* oil changes:
* serpentine belt
* spark plugs
* tires (1 full set)
* brakes + rotors
* AOS (preventative)
* air, cabin, fuel filter
* updated coolant cap

replaced because of failure:
* alternator (failed, while in TX)
* front engine mount (vibration / shudder, while in TX)
* water pump (grinding noise, leaking coolant, while in NE)
* ignition switch (finally stopped working in CO)
* front strut mount (clunking, at home)
* lower control arm (clunking, at home)
* cv boots (cracked, leaking, at home)
* coolant reservoir (cracked, leaking, at home)
* climate control panel (sunsetting, illegible)

Congratulations!

It's good to hear the positive stories to at least somewhat offset all the tales of woe that we so often read here...

Time to top off that fuel tank!

Congrats! I'm about 1,000 miles behind you. Then again I may never get her back from the machine shop.

Only 51,000 to go... but seriously, congrats. Enjoy it, that's why you bought it.

Welcome to the club! I entered the 100k club on my first trip to the Tail of the Dragon.

I wonder where I'll be driving when my car crosses the 200,000 mile threshold?
