Rear Bumper

Question about rear bumper skin? For 99 Boxster
Behind the rear wheels is what could be called a wheel well liner

Is the bumper skin Lip Under / Behind ? or Over ?

Is the wheel well liner under the bumper skin lip ?

Seems when a shop replace mine one side is over one side is under now
One side is Right ? One side is Wrong ? Question is what one?
Thanks

The wheel well liner goes under the bumper skin lip. Easy fix, remove a couple of screws and you'll be able to wiggle the wheel liner back inside.

Don't forget to source the Porsche plastic rivulets that hold it in place. Like other P items they are specialized and not something you can grab on the fly at depot.

If only one edge was inserted incorrectly, the bumper cover sould have enough flex by only removing the wheelwell screw and the lower edge screws on one side . Entire bumper cover shouldn't have to come off.

True, but those anchors I mentioned have a habit of getting lost on older cars and might be why it's shifted in the first place. I guess you could use a straight plastic anchor in a pinch.
