Vibration on take off?

I was wondering is any type of vibration normal on take off in a base 08 Boxster with a stick? Im used to driving my BMW and the inline 6 feels much torqueier so Im used to taking off at fairly low RPM's. In the car I test drove it felt like the car kind of wanted to be revved up to take off. I know these arent very torquey cars so Im wondering if this was normal and due to me not knowing the car or if its a red flag and to move on to another car?

Normal start from stop you should have the RPM's ~ 2000. Maybe your clutch needs replacing??

2000rpm for a "normal" start? I do not start from anything much above idle... no vibrations. The clutch take-up action does take a little bit getting used to though.

This thread is going from a vibration problem to clutch technique.

A question for everyone... You're going to the store, you are at a dead stop at an intersection, you get a green light, push the clutch pedal in, foot off the break, what are your RPM's before you start releasing the clutch pedal in a 35-45 mph speed zone? And don't tell me you are releasing the clutch pedal without your foot on the gas pedal (I won't believe you... You are in a Porsche).
