boxster converitible top separating?

i just noticed that there is a separation of the "inner layer" over the drivers side portion of the windshield header in my brand new Porsche Certified pristine '03 Boxster. however the inner layer is attached to the windshield header over the passenger side - anyone have any information/experience with this - perhaps its supposed to be configured like this. I does seem to be quite rigid.............

I don't have an '03, but it doesn't sound right to me. I'd take it back to the dealer you bought it from and point it out asap to the service manager and get it fixed or on record just in case.

That is, unless an '03 owner says it's supposed to be that way.

You're right - brought it to the dealer today - service mng. ordered a new liner - easier to replace than fix! Thanks
