Key remote not working (light), new battery

Any suggetions?

it's like the battery is dead, but I replaced it.

Now I have to use the key normally, instead of using the buttons.

Mine started doing that a lot recently. I accidentally hit the button twice quickly and it worked. Now I just give it two quick clicks and the doors unlock. About 1 out of 10 times, it will unlock and beep because it actually worked with the first click.

The remotes do die. Don't get them near water, and don't drop them.

You can get a new remote head w/o having to buy the key. However, you will have to have the remote programmed at the dealer.

Hope this is not your issue.
