Boston-area service for Boxster?

I have a '99 Boxster and am looking for a reputable service station, other than Pass & Weisz. Anywhere near either Lexington or Needham. Any recommendations?
Many thanks,
DParker

Boxster service

I'm in NH and bought my car at Herb Chambers (Comm. Ave, Boston). Don't know what their reputation is for service but while shopping for the "B" I had occasion to talk with a mechanic in the shop. He was very accomodating. He let me walk under a lift, pointed things out to me and answered some "newbie" questions. All told, he represented himself and the dealership quite well. I was impressed that he took time to chat with me, a non-owner at that time.

I don't know if this helps, but I'll take mine there for the first service and then make up my mind for the future.

I'll not repeat all my Chambers' experience here, but one piece of advice, be very clear to decline their "free service" car wash if you use them. Well under 1K miles my car came out from a service visit covered with micro-scratches.

I'm using Auto Sport Eng'g in Stow for all my service now that the warranty has expired on mine. Service is oustanding, even if their waiting area is weird (car place, not fashion...).

Is anything wrong with Pass & Weisz? I was thinking about taking my car there.

My P&W experience is limited and old at this point. I've only had one service done there, which was a service bulletin for replacement of the gas cap (emissions issue). They did OK. At the time I purchased my car they (and most other dealerships but Park {now Nashua} Porsche) wouldn't give me the time of day - this was during the height of the dot-com bubble and they were selling every car they could get.

Pass & Weisz

I have nothing in particular to complain about with them - I've brought my Boxster there a number of times - except they're quite busy and you can wait weeks for an app't. I just never felt like they valued my business. So I'm seeing if there are alternatives. I think I'll try Clair first and see how they fare.
