Changing air filter on the 991

Should have been titled, "why it costs three hundred dollars to have your air filters changed in the new 911".

Oh man I first I thought this was much ado about nothing, surely Zee Germans had come up with quick release mechanisms to disassemble but removing the wheels!!!
Man if that isn't asking for someone to put things back together the wrong way and find out once you're hitting the brakes at speed. |
Don’t want to see the procedure for replacing the oil filter.
I heard you need to drop the engine and remove the dashboard. :eek: |

As I wrote on rennlist... It's like doing maintenance on a Tiger tank... zee Germans just don't learn.

Take it to Quick Lube and insist they honor their policy of checking the filter, that should teach em...

So basically, to do any work on the engine, you have to take off the wheels, back bumper cover and air box. Nice.
