Does anyone out there have one of these Porsches?

holy crap. $7,500?? Porsche are not known for making bikes, so unless that is a private labeled bike, i don't see how it's worth it to buy besides for the name? You could get so much more with a different brand.

If it is a Stork, Stork does make good frames, and the componentry is also high end MTB race stuff. The big "however" is the bike's design...it's considered a hybrid. It lives somewhere between being a mountain bike and being a road bike, but could do neither very well. Lotta $$ for very little function=gimmick.
'Course, you just asked if anyone had one. Nope. I'm a Litespeed guy. |
A friend and former colleague imports Storck bikes to the USA. So, I can confirm that the Porsche bike is in fact predicated on a Storck frame . However, if you were to do a cost comparison between the private label model and the actual retail bike, one would see a significant price hike for having the Porsche insignia on it . I have owned and ridden some of Storck's high end road bikes, and they were nothing short of work of art .

Does it have an IMS?

No IMS. But the engine gets pretty sweaty and smelly when in operation.

Wow $7500 for a hybrid? It does have decent components and I love the crank bros wheels! I have CBs on my Santacruz and Pivot, great wheels.

There seems to be quite a few bicyclists on this forum… I find that interesting (competitive bunch?). I have spent over $12k on my bicycles in recent years but that’s dumping money into four bicycles. I can’t imagine spending over $7500 for one bike!
