Does anyone sell "no-label" sun visors ?
I can't seem to locate a sun visor replacement without the air bag warning labels. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try Suncoast...they sell European style visors (illuminated or not) without the airbag stickers.

I removed the decals off mine, but it wasn't easy. I used some of that lemon "goo-gone" stuff, but still had to scrape gently for quite awhile. I didn't know you could buy them like that.

Removal of the sunvisor decal was a much discussed topic on Porsche Pete's Boxster Board. If I remember correctly, the recommended method of removal was with denatured alcohol.

There is someone selling vinyl stickers on ebay that go right over the warning graphics. That should solve your need.

First mod I did after I brought my new car home back in late March of 2006. All you need is:
1) Patience
2) Rubber gloves
3) Denatured alcohol
4) 303 Aerospace Protectant

I tried for a few hours on my 2003, and they just seem to have been there too long. There's still a ghost of them on both visors. I'm going to look for the stickers. If anyone has a link it would be appreciated.

1) Gently remove that part that has the sticker on, needs a slight bend (the mirror cover thing)
2) Remove the sticker with hot water preferably (if you don't want the part's pins to break in 2 months time)
3) Wet-sand them with #600 waterproof sand paper
4) Rinse, dry, then spray them with 2 coats of mat/flat black spray paint.
They come out even better than brand new. and no bubbly stickers needed!

Did you guys use real denatured alcohol (purchased from a hardware store, for example)? Not rubbing alcohol. Should have worked.

I used the stuff out of my medicine cabinet, which is indeed rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl, but also 'denatured'). Sounds like that might not be sufficient?

Actually I''ll give you $40 for your visors, as I have a car without covers

I used the ebay stickers. A matter of a few seconds to put them on and they are practically invisible. On 3 years now and no sign of peeling.

Right. The stuff in your medicine cabinet is not strong enough. The stuff they sell at the hardware store is mainly a solvent for some paint finished and as a fuel for fondue pots, and other camping cooking stoves. Powerful stuff.
Every home garage should have a can of denatured alcohol around for projects.
And it makes the best, and cheapest, window cleaner in the World:
1 part denatured alcohol to 2 parts distilled water.

I used these also; they work great and I got them a few days after ordering.

I had mine recovered with black leather on a previous Boxster. He took the lid off and glued a deviated red vinyl that matched the red and black interior. it looked great IMO at least. Before anyone asks, I couldn't find a picture of the long gone sunvisors. I looked for 15 minutes before posting this. I was already doing door panels and seats, so it didn't add that much to the bill.

How difficult are the to just remove. The whole visor. I do not use them and would like to just take them off completely.
