Hmmm. Cayman Look on Boxster

Hardtop on Ebay

yellowbox 08-16-2005 08:06 AM

is this for real?

Unbelievable.

Porschekid 08-16-2005 09:19 AM

Neat, but I would rather see a real picture than a photochop... looks fake to me.

Gee, what a "brilliant" observation . . .

Brilliant!
Its obviously a regular hardtop with a few bolt on enhancements.
Well if someone out there is smart they'll figure out a way to offer a
"Cayman kit" for Boxster owners who already have hardtops.

So is this a snap-on top, or a permanent transformation? Can we see a completed car?
I think the concept is really neat, but I would need to know a more (a whole lot more!) before sending my check for 5 grand to a Swiss acount.

I wonder if the rear hatch will open some how so the owner can use the trunk, top off oil and coolant, etc.

Looks like this company is using Ebay to hype a new product around the world for very little cash... just the listing fee for an auction no one will buy.

Smart marketing move if you ask me!

TECH986ART 08-17-2005 06:42 AM

lol, what a scam.... they should come up with another option like upgrade to a CGT as well for $8500. :D

Brucelee 08-17-2005 06:52 AM

That is a lot of money for a hardtop. Production costs might be .......?

I think I will wait for the DVD!

I meant it looks fake as in a scam, they want you to send your money overseas for something that doesn't exist. ********

Well at least I understood you.
