Has anyone used a spray on treatment for brand new mats before use that you found to add longevity?

Scotchguarded a set of Lloyds mats once b/c they were light gray. Negligible impact but might be due to their thick pile. Could be more effective on OEM mats though.

In my case, mats get replaced due to heel wear which stain preventing treatment will not abate . . .
