I haven't used it but I would be very leary of this product. It looks like you could do major damage to a very expensive DME with it. Its generic for almost every car made, that in itself smells fishy. It probably does little to nothing, but I wouldn't trust it not to cause damage.

A agree 100% with San, are you looking for more performance? If so what other mods have you considered? An underpulley is pretty cheap and you will feel the difference.

Not sure how the UP will affect the car on the street. Will it affect water pump preformance?
I wasn't looking for this specific product ( in the link ) just came across it by mistake and was wondering.

Regarding the underpulley, I'd be more concerned with the AC in Ft Laud, although mine continued to stay cold. I had zero problem with the water pump or alternator.

that is exactly my concern.
if the AC will not work in full capacity, i assume so will the water pump.
if driving on the highway at high RPM i don't believe it will be any problem. i am more concern of cruising down the beach on a very hot day.
seating in traffic with the engine mostly idling, might cause overheating. (i can live with a low AC sufficiency, not sure if the engine would like to have low sufficiency water pump )
with that said, i will appreciated recommendation for a specific UP. worst case i will sale it.

I had one of these and the butt dyno was clear on the improvement, I think Jake also documented the improvement.

Just take your time and shape the part of the case that needs to be trimmed, it files like butter.

I fitted Raby's underdrive pulley 3 years ago, with no overheating, voltage or A/C problems. The climate here is sub tropical (similart to Southern CA) so the heat + traffic I thought could be a potenetial problem - but it wasn't...

On installation I checked the alternator voltage output and by the time the engine revs were up to 1200rpm, the voltage had stabilised. According to Raby, he tested it out on his wifes car for many thousands of miles with all the electrical devices switched on, A/C at full capacity in heavy traffic - no long term problems. Plus you get the added performance.

And if you don't like it, just swap back to the original - its not permanant if you don't want it to be.
Probably my best mod yet.....

I'm gonna do just that.
