My 2000 S is the first Porsche I've owned, and the third I've driven - 2.5 Boxster and 912 before my S - and perhaps I don't know what a well sorted Porsche "should" feel like but I've had no problems whatsoever shifting, missing etc so far with mine. I haven't driven a 2.7 yet, but I intend to. Mine doesn't make chai, latte or cappuccino either.
