beeps when alarm activated...hmmm.
Boxster beeps when I activate the alarm. How do I find out what needs fixin'?

It beeps when you have a door ajar, hood or trunk open, or the center console is not closed completely.
Or, in my case, it beeps because I have an improperly installed aftermarket stereo and some grounding wire is not being grounded in my car. I like the beep though... I can actually tell if the car is locked when remotely locking it in a noisy garage or on the street. Hey, how does your butt feel after a long driving day in those GT3 seats, anyway? I know they have less padding and wondered if you get sore. |
ahh its probably the hood. I forget to push it down all the way sometimes.
Or maybe the center console ashtray is open, I noticed there is light in there. Yeah that beep is helpful I'm constantly walking back to the car to check to see if I locked it even though it locks automatically. The GT3 seats are not uncomfortable at all. I have a 30 inch waist and I'm 5'7 160 pounds. Some bigger guys might have a problem. Especially getting out, you really have to use your core to lift yourself out. Its like a little work out each day. Watching girls or my old man get out of the passenger seat is hilarious. I take one hour long trips to the beach and when I get stuck in NYC traffic all the time and its not uncomfortable at all. Acutally I think its much more supportive than the stock seats. But like any car seat you get soar after sitting for a while. My lady friend slept the whole ride back from Altantic City(2 hours) a few weeks ago so I guess its not too bad. Well worth the $1700 i paid. |
