Convertible Transmission not covered under warranty??

Hi,

Just got off the phone with the dealer, he told me that the convertible cable and the transmission are not covered under the extended warranty. I have to pay $1500!!! to replace it.

I thought it was.

Thanks
KZ

Pull out your contract and make them show you the clause that indicates that this is not covered.

I don't have a contract. When I got it certified, they said the information is in the system.

Thanks
KZ

They always say that but they HAVE to give you something which spells out what is and what is not covered.

If they did not do that, they have likely violated consumer laws in your state.

If it were me, I would be telling them about your next complaint to the state consumer affairs dept and your call to a lawyer.

If it were me!

Don't give up!

KZ, don't give up on it. You've paid for the thing so they need to provide you with a full copy of it and you need to do like Brucelee said and call your state consumer affairs office. No matter what you take it in for, they are going to say it is not covered hoping you'll say "ok" and walk away while they keep your money.

If all that fails you try to find it in E-bay or Oklahoma Foreign ask for Gary. I bought both of mine thru E-bay and paid about $180 for both including cables and shipping....

which company was the extended warranty with?

Brucelee 08-09-2005 05:30 AM

Sounds like a Porsche extended warranty. That would be the only one that is posted in their service data base.
