Bosch vs. Automotive Lighting 2003-2004 Headlight
I purchased a set of 2003/2004 MY clear signal headlights for my 2001 Boxster S. Unfortunately one was DOA (the internal lamp assembly was dislodged and the pieces actually broken). These particular lights were made by Automotive Lighting, which I understand were the OEM replacement lights as opposed to the lights made by Bosch. In looking for a new light to replace this broken one, I'm finding that I can buy the Bosch version for about $410 but the Automotive Lighting version actually costs more at $500. Strange I know, but the question is whether or not the two brands are identical in terms of look so I could buy one of the Bosch versions as a replacement (and thereby having one Automotive Lighting and one Bosch). Many thanks in advance.

That really sux. Very unlucky on this one obviously. What I would do.... sell the Automotive Lighting good headlight on eBay. Someone who trashed the front of their 986 will be pleased to have a new headlight for $50 cheaper than retail. Then buy a pair of Bosch headlights and get it done bro

I decided to go with a set of new lights from Bosch. If anyone is in need of a drivers side light with clear turn signal - I have one that is in incredible shape and crystal clear (thanks to MN 986 taking such nice care of his ride) for sale. Send me a PM.
