Telescoping steering column will not stay locked.
Hi
On my 2003 Boxster s, I wanted to adjust the steering column. I pushed the lever down, which was quite hard, and adjusted it out. I then locked the lever up. However the column will not stay put, it is hard to move, but under braking or accel it can move out or in. Is this a common problem, I cannot find any posts about it. What am I doing wrong? I have pushed up very hard on the lock lever, and unlocked and relocked several times to no avail. Thanks Ashley |

you may have to remove the plastic cover and tight the nut that is at the other end of the lever, it's pretty simple (once you can see the nut) . |
It hasn't been common with the two I've owned. Try, if you haven't, slightly pushing on the steering wheel while pushing up on the locking lever.

I have a 2003 Boxster S also, mine is doing the same thing as Ashley's, it won't stay locked. Did anybody find a solution? Thanks
