Install Cup Holders (suggestions)

Hi, my Boxster has a set of cup holders that need to be replaced. I ordered a new set and they have arrived. In the box are instructions on how to install the entire system which involves removing the radio etc etc. all very daunting.
I was hoping there was a easier way. All I really want to do is replace the two actual cup holder with the new ones and leave all the other attachments in place. Is there an easy way to do this ?
Thanks
TerryT

I have a 2001 S that didn't come with cup holders so simply bought the plastic insert that fits into the locking compartment between the seats.

Thanks John, although that doesn't quite solve my problem.

What should I use to pry off the U shaped piece (the arrows near points 1 and 2) a flat nosed screw driver ? If I use that won't I damage both the U shaped plastic piece and the Dash ?

start at the bottom with a flat head in a towel. Then work your way up with your fingers. Mine was tight but it will pop. Easy back on.
