Just went to Harbor Freight and the 1.5 ton low profile jack is on sale for the next 3 days. From $129 on sale for $59. If you need a jack that works for the Boxster this is a decent one. Best of luck.

Keep an eye on the sales ads in magazines and newspapers and you can get a coupon to get the 2.5 ton version for $69. I have one, I bought for $99 back in Aug/Sep. Gonna go back and get a second one with my coupon in hand.

Motor Trend (at least there was before my subscription ran out) with a 20% off coupon that might be useable to get a bit more discount too. I have been needing a floor jack and have been planning on buying that one too. A friend used it for his racing team and it seemed to hold up pretty well.

Unfortunately, the small print on those 20% off coupons specifically excludes floor jacks. I've already tried. :(

I have one of those exact jacks. Paid $79 during some other sale. Generally works great but I have to be really careful when I crack open the valve to lower the car or it comes rushing down in one big swoop rather than nice and slowly. Not a problem once you know it and plan for it.
