Haha! At least they have a sense of humor!

They try to give readers a hint at the end of the article:

Although the Woodie will not hit the streets until early 2018, PCNA reports it has taken over 500 advance orders and has had to establish a lottery system for selecting the remaining prospective owners. If you wish to sign up, it is highly recommended you call a special hotline for this exciting new car: 1-800-APR-FOOL.

It's still in the crate. You have to take it out of the crate once you receive it.

The article seems to gloss over many important details, such as how many cup holders, is there stow-and-go seating, and since it's a retro vehicle, is there an 8-track option?

Inquiring minds need to know!

I'm pretty sure it comes with a reel-to-reel tape deck.

It's funny....many of us on here are "older" and grew up with this and actually liked it way back when. I'm sure many of you remember the old family wagon with the wood - it was stylish in it's day!

I think it's all about the application. Woodgrain siding on a station wagon is one thing, but woodie-fying a sedan or sport car is just weird. Anybody remember the AMC Eagle woody? Sometimes woody is wrong, no matter what...

My first new car was a 1974 Ford Pinto Station Wagon - with the Squire package. (Don't judge. LOL! ) It was wrong on so many levels, but at the time I thought it was great, especially after I added the roof rack. Stylin'!

Dave
