Oh, there's no doubt that this new Boxster will attract a whole new set of buyers, just like the new 991 would.

Personally, all this new, more aggressive exterior means very little to me when there's no additional performance to back it up. I was expecting weight drop back to 2800lbs like the 986, while increasing performance even further. Instead you get 5hp bump on the S and 10hp bump on the base model. The new boxster is aggressive as a paper tiger.

Now the 981S has the same displacement as tne 991 but still with less power.

But that has always been the case... even if you compare the old Carrera with the 3.4L...

I bet it's a combination of restrictive intake, throttle body, intake/exhaust manifolds...

The 911 has always had a larger displacement. Now they are the same, surely to save manufacturing costs, but the 911 still needs to have more power to justify the profit margin, er, I mean purchase price.

Haven't considered replacing my 2004 until now.

This looks so much better. Much more aggressive looking and not
so symmetrical front to rear. The interior is incredible, more fitting
for a car that starts at 50k and will most likely be in the 60-85k
range.

Considering we have had the same thing for 16 yrs I am so ready
for a change.
