Special name for your boxster ?

I'm curious to know how many members have a special name for their boxster ? Mine is of course the Dangermobile ! Although, an ex-bird of mine use to call it the Bananarina.

This encompasses her appearance, demeanor/character; the feeling she evokes; her emotional and monetary drain on me....phew

Milliemaxmachine, Named after 2 of my favorite pets that I adopted from shelters for the abused and homeless. Millie was beaten, starved and full of disease when I got her. The Vet gave her just a few weeks to live but the Vet friend and I decided to try the drug Interferon along with a weekly Depo shot. 12 expensive ,but wonderful years later she died. Max (who does my typing for me) was found burned, beaten, starved and after alot of time and care is enjoying a good life with us with no one to ever abuse him again. My wife and I love animals and support our shelters. MAX

After my run in with our local 4 legged friend, I'm going to name it "the Deer Hunter" lol

Frodo 01-10-2012 02:44 PM

"Zel", short for Griselda, a good German name I thought. Means 'gray battle maiden' or some such thing. Or,
could be from Zelda, of Princess Zelda fame. Not really sure...one or the other, maybe a little of both. :p

Hmm, I call mine a Boxster... ;)

BoxsterSteve 01-10-2012 03:18 PM

Another German name, of course

I chose the name Udo for my 2000 S. There is no particular reasoning, asides from it's a strong German man's name.
I tell my wife, "Udo and I are going out to waste fuel tonight".
It works for me.

AGREED! Too many shelters with too many abandoned and/or abused animals. Finding homes for all is damn near impossible. The best part? When you adopt one of these guys and get them over their initial situation they often make the best possible pets.

Not reallly. The plates say "SPYDR" so if anything it's the spider. But nothing special.

wvboxst3r 01-10-2012 04:55 PM

my plate is "MYOFFICE" so whenever I receive a call or the wife wants to know where I am - I am in my office.. I also visit clients at home so I have always claimed that my office is my laptop and whatever I am driving.

No, I am not a master hunter but I was knighted a Jäger in Germany back in 1982. It takes about two years of training to become a Jäger.

AKL;)

Bmod986 01-12-2012 06:24 AM

Best of luck to you TWODAN. There is always a great deal of satisfaction that a pup can provide and picking up a rescued one makes it more of an adventure, also more satisfying to know that you did well. I miss my own dog which I had taken care of until I could find him a good home. WELL any way lets get back to the point of the thread, I named my girl Cassandra. Don't know why but that was the first name that poped up in my mind. Also considering that I don't know any Cassandras personally so ya it makes me happy.
