I got a POS pair of prescription no-line bifocals tinted real dark from Lenscrafters AND a backup pair without tint for get this... $89 plus tax!
They're complete crap, but now I have dark prescription sunglasses for the car.

I swear, whenever I make another wad of cash I'm getting the RK and Lasic surgeries (I'll need one of each believe it or not) to correct my vision so I can buy cool sunglasses like the rest of you boys!

Just so you know if you guys got a costco near your area go to their optics department and look at there sunglass selection. You will definitely be pleased with the prices. I Paid $75 for mine. These retail for $230. So ya just trying to help out. |
Nice glasses!

I was once again shopping for another pair of "Shades" . I have had an excellent business experience with "Vintage Sunglass.com" You can purchase an old (new)stock pair for almost the price of new "stuff" I will always choose the "OLD'' style. BUT !!!!! I ran across DANGER'S Style for sale ? Playboy 4608 Nice !!!

I found that the Polarized Sun-Tiger glasses I use for flying make the instruments and radio/navigator hard, if not impossible to read.
 I usually use the Ray-Bans.

However the glare reduction is most welcome, especially now while the sun sits low on the horizon this time of year for my morning and evening commute.

I just flip them up as needed and have my audible speed warning beep set for 90mph, although I overshot it this morning as I was on ramping to the highway and noticed 98mph.....ooops.

Just gave a flawless pair of Serengeti glasses to my brother, I can't see without the no line bifocals. However, Randall, if you go to the real lenscrafters and not America's best, you can get any cool frames in prescription you want, all you need is coin.

My heart broke when I broke my old pair….
I keep trying to step out with others, but something ALWAYS happens….

Now I'm rockin' with Wal Mart specials. They don't look too bad…you just have to go fast enough that no one REALLY sees them!

I had a pair of Serengetti's for a really long time until they got mangled (around 20 years). I replaced them with Ray Bans with composite lenses. Nice and light and looked cool. However, they didn't block enough light and scratched really easily. Recently replaced them with Oakleys. Nice lenses and good eyer coverage, but I hated the bulky plastic frames. I left them in an airplane that went into maintenance, and surprise, surprise, they disappeared.

I am going back to Serengetti's.

I can't find anybody that had a good selection of frames. Most of them are too small for my face. Do you know if Costco will order specific models? I need non-polarized and our Costco only has polarized.

Costco doesn't do special orders on sunglasses thats why I couldn't get them prescribed. They carry specific models for every branch, which is why they don't have them advertised on their web page. Some Costcos don't even have an optics department. So ya all I can say is go in person and find out. Last time I checked my Costco only had 3 Serengetti models to choose from and that was a while back. Hope this helps.
