				2003 boxter s offset ?

I am considering a change from 17" OE to after market, 18"(black centers) these are 8.5 and 10's with offset of 52 and 58 , would these fit w/out using spacers ?
any one I welcome your comment,
   thanks
    Peter

need a 10-15mm spacer for the rear, I want to say 42mm is optimal for a 10" wide rear

Depending on how aggressive you want the "stance" to be, I would begin with at least +45 on the rear and +47 up front . Future changes in your suspension (i.e. coilovers) may require an even lower offset .

Thank you Boxter friends, Are there any 18" that do not require spacers? or 17"like the ones I have that are a bit wider? I like my wheels, but I wish they could be just a bit wider.
 Just thinking alod .
 thanks,
I have had my Box S almost 6 weeks now.

Unfortunately, most of the oem wheels that are designed for the boxster have very conservative offsets. In fact, this true for most Porsche models. Moreover, even though there may be similarities between models and wheel styles, (i.e. like the boxster and carrera), the wider wheels typically have offsets that are too high for the boxster . Thus, the need for spacers, or aftermarket wheels that offer a better range of offsets .

I am running OZ Allegerita wheels available from Tirerack.com in size:
Front - 18" x 8.5" et 53
Rear - 18" x 9" et 43

These work without any spacers, but I still run some spacer to optimize handling.

I also have a set of Cayman S wheels that work great without any spacers.

As always, your results may vary...

Good luck.
