Airbag light and Service Light

I just had my battery replaced and oil changed ( not at the dealer service).
How can I reset the service light countdown on the dash. Also the airbag warning light came on after my battery died , any tricks to clear that?

I have a 2006 987S , 35,000 miles . I am the original owner and have had dealer service until now , but I've had enough of ridiculous prices they charge.

Appreciate any input...Thanks

There are only two ways to shut off the service light and the air bag light, either a PIWIS unit (dealer) or the Durametric software........nothing else will work.

My friendly Porsche dealer wants $290 , 2 hours labor to perform this task.

My car runs perfectly.

Any advice?

spend about the same amount on a durametric cable and do it yourself. on the upside you'll have the durametric for later needs.

I suggest calling a few independent shops. They might be willing to do it cheaper than a dealer.
