Click click - honk?
 

I've had my baby for a couple of months now, and lock it with the remote whenever I park it. Just a press on the key and I hear the locks click, and the tail lights flicker for a second. Today when I locked it, the horn also sounded. Cute. Is the horn supposed to make a sound or was it just not working properly before today? What happens tomorrow when I lock it, will the top go up and down or other elctronic event occur? :rolleyes:

I know on the 987 that if the horn honks that means you have a door ajar or one of the trunk lids is open. Just Porsche's way of protecting you from yourself.

Yup, 986 is the same.

a horn beep could also signal that your center console is not fully closed.

The horn will honk when the alarm does not take for some reason. This could be do to anything that the above people have mentioned. Two flashes of the lights and no sound means the alarm is on. A long flash and a honk means no alarm. You can manually accomplish this (if you want to for some reason) by double clicking the lock button instead of just one click. (I guess if maybe you want to leave your pet in the car and you don’t want the motion detector going off??)
