My 2001 is the most....

fun car I have ever owned. My wife said that the next car must have air. cond. and heated seats. My 99 MX5 Miata had neither. So here I am with a base 2001 Boxster with 32k miles which I bought last May. Now I just have to find a way to stop my wife getting after me for the money I am spending on upkeep - cv boots replace, ims guard installed etc etc. Buying new is not an option-way too much money. I think that I will be keeping this car a long time. This is more fun to drive than my daughter's boyfriend's tiptronic 911 C4. Yes it is a bargain but I still need to spend money on it as it is a 10 year old car.
Safe and happy motoring:dance:
Cheers, Guy

Brit guys....

Well I am an ex Brit guy living in Canada and from what I have seen the photos of US Boxsters put mine to shame. They are well polished and detailed. Mine I take to the wand car wash and make it look respectable. She is no garage queen.

As regards if I lived in the UK I would probably own an MX5 as it is appropriate to the size of other vehicles. My 99 MX5 felt small compared to the half tons and suvs in Edmonton, Canada. The Boxster is a nice size, side airbags etc. Finally we have snow here so I can try it out in the snow and ice. More fun than a barrel of monkeys:troll:. I would think that running a Porsche in the uk would be pricey?
It is good to hear from the British contingency.
Great forum
Guy
